JUST FOR CAMPERS!
Young Campers: This may be your first time overnight to camp or maybe it's the 10th time!
Either way, below are some things that you may be wondering
about your experience at Bay Lake Camp.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PONTOON RIDE!
We meet all groups at the mainland dock with our camp pontoons and journey to the Island for your week or weekend at camp. Not everyone has been on a boat or pontoon before, so we do our best to make everyone's journey memorable. All campers under 18 wear a PFD while on the boat, our experienced camp staff drives the pontoon, and we take you across Bay Lake on a journey from the mainland to the Island! Let the journey begin!
MEALS AT BAY LAKE CAMP!
Our BLC Staff prides themselves on providing high quality, healthy, homemade meals for all campers!
It is important to us that you eat well so you can play hard!
We have recipes that have been with us throughout the years as well as new recipes that we try new with each group.
Nevertheless, eating is important at camp and we want all campers to enjoy every meal!
If campers have specific food allergies or meal requirements - please contact your User Group Leader -
and they will communicate that with our camp staff when planning your stay at BLC.
The sooner we know this information, the better we can prepare for your meals at camp.
Thank you and we can't wait to share a meal with you at camp!
SWIMMING
There's no better way to spend free time at camp than swimming in the lake!
As long as the weather is good, campers will spend time at the beach enjoying the sun and water of Bay Lake!
Our staff Lifeguards will be on duty when the beach is open and will assist campers with their swim test.
All campers under 18 will be required to take a swim test in order to swim in the deep end.
The swim test is for the safety of all campers.
Campers do not have to take a swim test, but will be asked to stay in the shallow end if they do not pass one.
Campers - remember to bring a swimsuit, a towel, and definately sunscreen! We'll see you on the beach!
CANTEEN
It's always fun to visit the camp store when you are at camp!
Whether it's for a candy bar, something cold to drink, a journal, pictures, or a t-shirt or
sweatshirt to remind you of the "best camp week ever!"
Campers at BLC are able to do all of the above and more when the Canteen is open during their camp week.
The User Group leaders will plan that into their schedule with the BLC Staff and
campers will have a chance to take memories home.
Campers should remember to bring some money for snacks each day
as well as money for a t-shirt, sweatshirt, hat, journal, etc.
See you at the Camp Store!
MAIL CALL!
Everyone loves to get mail! Families can send mail to their campers while they are at Bay Lake Camp.
Please address the envelope with the User Group Name, Camper Name, and address.
Plan to send your mail enough in advance that it will arrive during the camping week your child is there.
If mail arrives after the User Group leaves, mail will be returned to sender.
