Peer Ministry
Leadership Training Retreat
Peer Ministry Leadership Training helps to develop leadership skills in youth. These skills will be valuable to these youth within the ministry of the church and their life outside of the ministry of the church. This weekend is a chance for youth to learn more about Peer Ministry, and for adults to consider bringing Peer Ministry into their congregation.
All are welcome! Our goal is to register 5 urban church groups consisting of 1 committed adult leader and 4 high school youth interested in being trained as a Peer Minister for their congregation and community. Our goal is to reach urban, multicultural congregations to do this great work of ministry which is why we have offered an afffordable retreat package for this valuable training. All meals, lodging, and training materials are included in this cost.
Following the training retreat, the adult leaders will have the opportunity to register for training to be a trainer, if interested. Those options for training will be with Peer Ministry Leadership: EveryDay and National Peer Ministry Director, Lyle Griner. Information will be given at the retreat in May.
